Current trends in Indian Education System DE or Open Learning is slowly catching up in India. There is a tremendous growth of enrolment for various courses. The system lacks effective Course materials, the reason being unable to attract writers for course materials. One need to look at the prospects of Moodle, Wikieducator and other sources to provide facilities for students
There is a need to strengthen Learner support system. It is necessary to provide academic guidance. Indian education system is at its peak and students are unable to enter the mainstrewam hence Distance education institiutes should own responsibility in providing education of rigor
How open and distance learning can provide access to learners and Bridge the divide of knowledge Most of the institutes create more hassles for students. Yes they do have prospectus which asks for details that need to be submitted at the time of enrollment, despite which 80% of the students (Survey conducted from one Institute of DE) depits the barriers that students need to cross after which there are ore hurdles. Hence ODL need to be more learner friendly cheers
